I thought the new look for TV3s Sunrise was really good - a huge improvement and very refreshing.
The more I see that logo, the more it is growing on me; and the new music seems perfect for morning television! The news ticker across the bottom of the screen also looks a lot better.

Sunrises new logo revealed
The new logo for TV3 morning show Sunrise has been revealed, and it is already receiving mixed reviews.One Facebook user writes: Theres no colour hear. [sic] I dont find it engaging or representative of the character of the show. I think it looks a bit old fashioned.
I am not so sure about it either, but I think perhaps I will reserve judgement until I see it motion with the new music.
Sunrise will launch a new look on Monday, featuring a new studio backdrop, new theme music and new on-screen graphics to go with this new logo. Look out for the television promos over the weekend.
Sacha McNeil gives birth to a girl

Sunrise and 3 News presenter Sacha McNeil has given birth to a baby girl this afternoon.The new baby has been named Isla and was 6 pound 10.
Congratulations to Sacha and family!
New look coming for Sunrise
The changes are said to give the show a very different look, and will include new on-screen graphics, new music and a new logo.
The presenter line-up will be remaining the same, and it is unlikely that the set will change - perhaps just the graphics on the back screen.
Look out for exciting new promos over the weekend!
Michael Jackson memorial live on both TV One and TV3

New Zealanders will have their choice this Wednesday morning, with both TV One and TV3 planning to provide live coverage of Michael Jacksons memorial service from 5.00am.TVNZs broadcast of the Los Angeles memorial will be hosted by Breakfast presenters Ali Mau and Paul Henry, and will run through until 9.00am. TV3s will likely be introduced by Sunrise hosts Carly Flynn and Oliver Driver. Although one does hope the networks will not have hosts speaking too much throughout the service.
E! Entertainment Channel will also provide live coverage of the Michael Jackson memorial on Sky channel 11.
The service will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angles, and 11,000 free tickets were given out to fans. A further 6,500 tickets were available for fans watch the service live on the big screen across the road at the Nokia Theatre.
Jackson family spokesperson Ken Sunshine said that everything about the memorial has to do with accommodating as many fans as possible. It is all about the fans.

Rhys Darby to front 2degrees ad campaign

Kiwi comedian Rhys Darby will front the advertising campaign for new mobile phone network 2degrees.The 2degrees advertisements will begin screening across all TV channels from this Sunday evening, and will initially focus on the personality and values of the brand. Specific product information will be revealed in the ads as they move closer to the August launch date.
2degrees staff were given a special preview of the television ads on Thursday night, but so far nothing further than the Flight of the Conchords stars involvement has been revealed about the ad campaign.
Expect the unexpected. Were not going to win any customers by doing what the competition do in any sense of the marketing mix, said 2degrees marketing manager Larrie Moore.
2degrees will sell mobile phones in supermarkets

2degrees have undertaken a major retail deal that will see their phones and SIM cards for sale in supermarkets that include Foodtown, Woolworths and Countdown, as well as the petrol station BP.
We just want to make it simple for people to purchase 2degrees products and services whenever they want to and wherever they are, said company sales and marketing officer Larrie Moore.
The SIM cards will be available for purchase at around 3000 retail outlets in New Zealand, while 400 will be selling the phones. Usual players Noel Leeming, Bond+Bond, Dick Smith and Warehouse Stationery will be selling the 2degrees brand alongside the new supermarket players.
Industry analysts are saying that this retail deal shows 2degrees positioning as a major player in the mobile phone market.
Winston Peters to appear on tomorrows Q+A
Winston Peters has committed to an appearance on TVNZ political show Q+A tomorrow morning.This will be the NZ First leaders first public appearance since his defeat on the 2008 election night.
Q+A screens at 9.00am Sunday morning on TV One and is hosted by Paul Holmes, Therese Arseneau, and Guyon Espiner.
Sacha McNeil leaves Sunrise
It was newsreader Sacha McNeils last day on Sunrise this morning, as she begins her maternity leave.The show ended with a farewell to Sacha, who has been with the show since its beginning. Flowers were presented and farewell messages from viewers were also read out by the team - who all seemed rather emotional! A huge basket of toys was also gifted to Sacha by Farmers.
Ingrid Hipkiss will takeover the newsreading position from Monday.
TV3s Nightline is number one late news
The latest audience share figures show that TV3s Nightline has become the number one late night news show by beating rival Tonight in the total share amount.Nightline received a 22% share in the 5+ results for June, and TVNZs Tonight received a 21.5% share. These results reflect the overall television audience.
This is an outstanding result for Nightline, and is a credit to a production team which understands the ideal mix of stories for a late night news programme, said TV3 Director of News and Current Affairs, Mark Jennings.
Although its a great result to win the 5+ audience, key demographics mean more to us such as our target 18-49 year old audience where Nightline dominates even further with a 48% margin - 24% compared to Tonights 16.2%.
Nightline also won in TV Ones own target demographic audience of 25-54 year-olds. Nightline received a 23.7% share of this audience while Tonight only managed a 19% share.
