The EU wants Internet Explorer unbundled

An investigation by the EU found that including Internet Explorer in the Windows operating system makes the browser available on 90% of the worlds PCs, therefore distorting competition.
Even though Microsoft is an American company, it must meet the EUs antitrust rules if it wants to do business within the 27-nation union. The rules are in place to prohibit companies from abusing a dominant market position.
