The last thing I expected to come out of this assignment was to have my blog referenced to on the front page of the NZ Herald!
I guess it really does show the growing place of blogs in society; that they can often beat the mainstream media to break news.

Well they didnt reply to me, only their comment in the Herald that it was a shortlived and isolated incident ... [that] was tackled immediately by our experienced engineering team.
I dont call an entire DAY shortlived tbh, and although they may consider New Zealand to be isolated - it is the most popular social networking site in NZ, so within our country it is kind of a big deal.
the blogging community has noted the story, and they find it rather shocking as well.
I swear, watching this unfold is awesome. I need popcorn or something!
